Condylar treatment
Condylomas are papillary skin-colored lesions, most often caused by certain types of the papilloma virus (HPV). The lesions occur in women and men, and are most often located on the external genitalia or near the anus. They are usually almost painless.
How is the treatment of condylomas carried out?
In the case of single lesions, it is possible to try pharmacological treatment consisting of oral intake of anti-viral drugs and application of special ointments directly to the lesions. The most effective and fastest method of removing condylomas is laser therapy - removal of lesions using a surgical laser beam. The procedure is performed under anesthesia.
Why do condylomas need to be treated?
Remember that untreated condylomata can lead to serious complications, including cancerous transformation.
