The passing of time is not an ally of our skin. From the age of 20 our skin undergoes aging processes year after year, i.e. it begins to lose elasticity, firmness, wrinkles and furrows appear. With time, in the face there is a resorption of bone, loss of fat and hyaluronic acid. This process leads to a change in facial expression and to a sharpening of facial features, making our face express negative emotions – we look tired, sad or irritated. The naturally rounded youthful cheeks disappear, temples collapse, the area under cheekbones collapses, and jawline loses its contour with the appearance of “hamsters,” making the face look less youthful, “flabby” and less contoured.

Such changes in the facial area become particularly noticeable once we reach the age of 35. This is when the level of hyaluronic acid in the deeper layers of our skin dramatically decreases, resulting in a significant reduction of skin hydration, tone, and elasticity. Hyaluronic acid may be the key to solve this problem!

Volumetric lifting is a method thanks to which it is possible to effectively and quickly restore the natural, youthful look of the face, eliminate furrows, wrinkles, improve the appearance of cheekbones and restore its correct oval thanks to subcutaneous injection of a preparation containing cross-linked hyaluronic acid. During the treatment session, the physician makes several punctures and injects the filler, thus achieving a natural but spectacular effect for a long time and immediately, without the need for invasive measures requiring a long period of convalescence.

Indications for facial contouring treatment:

Facial volumetric lifting procedure is designed for people over 35 years of age, who have experienced a loss of skin firmness, loss of volume around the cheekbones, chin or temples, so that the oval face lost its youthful shape, and the skin has become flabby. This method brings excellent results in the elimination of, among others, “hamsters,” marionette lines (furrows running from the outer corner of mouth to the chin), or the appearance of a sunken valley of tears.

Facial oval contouring treatment is also great for people, who despite their young age, their body fat has disappeared as a result of a weight-loss diet or significant weight loss.

Course of volumetric restoration procedure:

Facial contouring procedure consists of several punctures in strictly defined points of the face and injection of a filler – cross-linked hyaluronic acid. The preparations we use are the latest generation, certified and safe fillers, dedicated to volumetric lifting treatments using MD Codes technique. This treatment is safe and takes about 60-90 minutes. The effects are visible immediately.

Volumetric lifting is not a painful procedure. The Patient feels pricking and gentle spreading during the administration of preparation. In the preparation is a small amount of anesthetic substance, which increases Patient’s comfort during the treatment.

MD Codes Technique

During the volumetric lifting procedure in Zakrzewscy Clinic we use the revolutionary MD Codes Technique developed by world-famous plastic surgeon, Mauricio de Maio in cooperation with Allergan company. MD Codes is a precise hyaluronic acid injection scheme dedicated to Juvederm Vycros products. This technique involves injecting the filler into precisely defined points on the face. These points provide guidance to the physician, who after discussing the Patient’s needs and motivations, can link them to the anatomical subunits of the face. In this way, the reconstruction of individual facial areas agrees with its architecture, and this is what provides the naturalness so desired by Patients. After using this method we achieve the effect of a clear but natural overall facial rejuvenation and improvement of its sculpture, which excludes the caricature mask effect that Patients often fear.

Preparations used in volumetric lifting

While performing facial volumetric restoration we decided to cooperate with a world-class pharmaceutical company Allergan, the producer of Juvederm Vycros, which are the latest generation fillers.

Hyaluronic acid preparations used in our Clinic, thanks to innovative patented technology of Vycross crosslinking, provide greater resistance to degradation and longer maintenance of effects (up to 24 months). These preparations are a dense, very malleable gel, the structure and chemical composition of which corresponds to that naturally occurring in the skin and other tissues. This ensures excellent integration with the Patient’s tissues, reduces the risk of allergies to practically zero and ensures full bio-absorbability.

Juvederm offers a wide range of HI TECH preparations using the Vycross hyaluronic acid crosslinking technology. The variety of Juvederm products gives the physician the ability to perform tailored treatment for each Patient, from conditioning therapies, through firming and lifting, restoring the proper density and volume of the skin.

Effect after volumetric restoration treatment:

The volumetric lifting procedure in the Zakrzewscy Clinic, i.e. injection of JuvedermVoluma, Juvederm Volift or JuvedermVolux hyaluronic acid with the use of MD Codes allows for a natural reconstruction of a young facial contour, both in women and men. The effect of overall rejuvenation is achieved by reconstruction of the temporal area, refining the cheekbones, lifting the cheeks and mouth corners, filling the valley of tears, nasolabial furrows, improving the shape of chin, jaw line, jawbone area, lifting the lower part of the face and improving its contour.

Recovery

Facial volumetric restoration treatment in Katowice does not require a period of convalescence. The Patient can return to daily activities immediately after the procedure. At the injection site swelling lumps may appear, which look like a trace after a mosquito bite, which may persist 3-4 days after the treatment. Some Patients also develop bruising and tenderness at the injection site (slight pain when touched), which persists for several days. The occurrence of these symptoms depends on individual skin predisposition.

Recommendations before the treatment

Aspirin and other anti-inflammatory and anticoagulant medications should not be taken a few days before the treatment.

The result of volumetric lifting procedure can be maximally strengthened and prolonged by preparing the skin in an appropriate manner. Therefore, before the procedure we recommend our Patients to perform a skin conditioning treatment to improve its structure and make it well moisturized.

Recommendations after the treatment

Within 7 days after the treatment, we recommend avoiding excessive exposure to the sun, swimming pools, gym exercises, saunas. We recommend drinking 1,5 – 2l of still mineral water.
