Needle mesotherapy

The secret of healthy, radiant skin is hidden inside.

Needle mesotherapy involves the direct injection of small doses of product into the skin. This method is well known to celebrities famous for their youthful appearance. No wonder – needle mesotherapy deeply revitalizes and nourishes the skin from the inside, thus improving its hydration and tone, structure and color. Renewed, radiant skin is at hand, also for you! It is ideal for tired, dull or dry skin. It is also an excellent regeneration therapy for the skin after the winter and summer. Moisturizing the deep layers of the skin improves its overall condition, providing a natural glow. For mesotherapy treatment preparations based on hyaluronic acid enriched with additional substances of moisturizing, antioxidant effect can be used. In our clinic we use only clinically tested substances of renowned brands – this is the basis of safety and effectiveness of the treatment.

Indications for treatment

Needle mesotherapy is recommended for a wide range of Patients, regardless of gender or age. The treatment is particularly suitable for Patients with signs of aging on the face, neck and neckline, as well as with loss of elasticity, dryness and flabbiness of the skin on the hands. The treatment is also recommended for Patients whose skin has lost elasticity and density, thus becoming flabby and thin. Needle mesotherapy is also used to restore glow and brightness to gray complexion and to moisturize dry and very dry skin. It is equally efficient in dealing with the symptoms of photoaging and helps Patients with uneven skin tone. As you can see, needle mesotherapy has a number of applications that can prove to be an ally not only in combating the signs of aging of the skin, but also contribute to improving its overall condition, also in the prevention of wrinkles. There is a reason why it is such a valued treatment among both Patients and physicians.

Course of treatment

Each treatment with the use of needle mesotherapy in our clinic is preceded by a detailed interview. The physician asks about possible contraindications, concerns, needs and expectations of the Patient. Based on the interview and skin condition assessment the physician selects the most effective preparation adapted to the needs of the skin and the problem, and also plans the course of the entire therapy.

The first stage of this procedure is cleansing of the skin and application of a local anesthetic in the form of an ointment or cream on the treated area. The procedure is usually not very painful, but it depends on the density of preparation introduced under the skin – a thicker consistency may cause discomfort, which can be minimized by prior use of an anesthetic preparation. If an anesthetic ointment has been used, after about 40 minutes the physician begins the procedure. Using a thin needle, a series of micropunctures with a maximum depth of 4 millimeters is made, injecting beneficial substances deep into the skin at equal intervals. Then, the physician applies a soothing preparation. What is important, in our clinic needle mesotherapy is carried out by qualified and experienced physicians, whose knowledge allows to ensure safety and professionalism with each treatment.

Needle mesotherapy – technology

At the basis of needle mesotherapy effectiveness lies the technology used during the treatment. Thanks to the use of needles and epidermal discontinuity, active substances have a chance to penetrate the skin, rebuilding and revitalizing it from the inside. An unquestionable advantage of mesotherapy is the fact that the skin regenerates for a long time after the treatment thanks to the increased production of elastin and collagen. Most treatments use hyaluronic acid, which can be enriched by vitamins (usually A, C and E), glycerol, amino acids, peptides or antioxidants. Depending on the Patient’s needs, crosslinked or uncrosslinked hyaluronic acid may be used. Uncrosslinked hyaluronic acid is primarily responsible for deep hydration, firming and revitalization of the skin, so it is ideal for shallow wrinkles and anti-aging prevention. Crosslinked hyaluronic acid, thanks to its filling and stabilizing properties, contributes to improving the appearance of flabby and very dry skin by smoothing and properly moisturizing it. Its greatest advantage is that the body metabolizes it more slowly, and thus it remains in the skin for longer.

Needle mesotherapy can also use platelet rich plasma PRP, taken directly from the Patient’s blood. Platelet rich plasma mesotherapy supports cell function and cell replacement process. Platelets contained in plasma and growth factors released by them stimulate tissues and blood vessels, accelerating proper skin regeneration. Plasma can also be enriched with additional active substances that positively affect the level of elasticity, firmness or hydration of the skin. The mixture of substances is determined individually, in order to best suit the Patient’s needs. After the procedure, the skin starts its natural regeneration processes – it produces more collagen and elastin, which contributes to shallowing of wrinkles, firming of the skin and overall rejuvenation of the appearance.

Effects after the treatment

One of the most important advantages of needle mesotherapy, appreciated by both physicians and Patients, is the fact that the effects can be seen after the first treatment. However, for the final results it is necessary to wait several weeks. The skin of the face, neck and neckline becomes firmer, elastic, brightened and moisturized. It is also strengthened thanks to the reconstruction of collagen fibers and stimulation of elastin production. The skin of the face, neck, neckline and hands is visibly regenerated and smoothed. The metabolism of skin cells is stimulated, as well as microcirculation, which contributes to the initiation of natural cell replacement processes – old cells are more intensively replaced by new ones, the skin is mobilized for intensive natural revitalization. As a result, excellent skin condition persists for several months after the treatment – the skin regenerates on its own! This translates into a visible, long-lasting effect of revitalized, rejuvenated skin.

Needle mesotherapy prevents the appearance of deep wrinkles, premature flabby of the skin and loss of elasticity, which is why it is used in anti-aging prevention. What is important, needle mesotherapy guarantees natural look of the skin after the treatment – there is no question of any artificial effect. In conclusion, thanks to mesotherapy Patient’s skin:

  • Gains a younger appearance as wrinkles become shallower
  • Becomes firmer, elastic and moisturized
  • Provides an even, radiant color and glow
  • Becomes deeply nourished
  • "Learns" to regenerate, which takes many months after treatment, so the effects are long-lasting

The greatest effectiveness of this treatment is guaranteed by performing it in series (the number of treatments depends on the specific problem and individual needs). It is also best to repeat it every 4-6 months. To make the effects of mesotherapy last as long as possible it is very important to take care of your skin after the treatment and between treatments. Your physician will advise you how to take care of your skin, and which cosmetics or cosmeceuticals (products designed for home care after professional treatments) to use.

Indications before treatment

Two days before the procedure the Patient should not take anti-inflammatory drugs and drugs that reduce blood clotting, because they increase the risk of bruising in the treated area. If the skin is particularly prone to bruising, a few days before the procedure you can lubricate the face with vitamin K ointment, but it is worth discussing with a specialist from our clinic.

Indications after treatment

There are certain recommendations that must be followed in order for the treatment effects to be as long-lasting as possible. Due to the fact that during the procedure the continuity of epidermis is broken, on the day when mesotherapy is performed, no make-up or cosmetics should be applied to the treatment area except for those recommended by the physician. On the day of treatment you should also not wash or touch your skin. For a few days after the treatment it is recommended to perform a gentle massage of the treated skin area in order for the mesococktail to be absorbed evenly. The physician performing the treatment will instruct the Patient on how to perform such a gentle massage.

The Patient should avoid for several days:

  • Sun exposure (and if this is not possible, use a sunscreen with at least SPF 50)
  • Use of solarium and sauna
  • Use of the swimming pool
  • Excessive physical effort

Recovery

Needle mesotherapy treatment requires virtually no recovery period and the Patient can usually return to daily activities on the second day after injection. After the treatment the skin may be swollen, reddened and small lumps may appear. However, there is no need to worry – these symptoms disappear within a few hours or on the next day.
