Indications for treatment with the use of Dermapen 4 device

Dermapen 4 treatment can be performed on both men and women of all ages. In case of facial skin, it is a great tool to fight signs of photoaging, shallow wrinkles, flabby skin lacking vitality or enlarged pores. Dermapen is also successfully used for skin rejuvenation and firming treatments in the neck, neckline and hand area, but also in the abdomen, hips, thighs and buttocks, where its effectiveness is very high. Dermapen achieves spectacular results in therapies treating even deep and atrophic post-surgical, burn and acne scars as well as burn contractures. It can also be successfully used to perform treatments on the scalp aimed at, for example, the treatment of alopecia.

Course of treatment

Depending on the area to be treated, the procedure takes about 25-45 minutes. The first step is to anesthetize the skin with a numbing cream. Then the treatment area is thoroughly disinfected. Treatment is fully personalized – depending on the type of skin and the treated problem, the appropriate preparation is applied to the skin and the optimal program of the device is selected, precisely determining such parameters as the depth of punctures and the speed of cartridge. During the treatment these parameters can be adjusted as needed. A disposable sterile cartridge is attached to Dermapen 4 device, which is then applied to the Patient’s skin. The tip of the cartridge is moved in a smooth motion over the treatment area. At this time, micro-punctures are made in the skin with molybdenum needles with a range of penetration depths from 0.2 mm to 3 mm depending on the indication. The smallest depth of skin penetration is used, for example, to cover the area around the eyes, the largest – for example, to treat deep scars. As a result there is an even reddening of the skin, spot delicate bleeding may occur. After the procedure, appropriate preparations are applied to the skin to soothe redness, reduce swelling and accelerate healing.

The procedure of microneedle mesotherapy involves intensive regeneration and remodelling (rebuilding) of the skin as a result of its controlled damage. Microdamage made in the skin is recognized by the body as places that require treatment, so the regeneration mechanism is initiated. However, it is the precision of microdamage that is crucial for the proper regeneration process which, in order to bring expected results, must include 3 phases.

Skin regeneration will proceed correctly under several conditions: puncture process must be sterile, punctures should evenly and very densely cover the skin, tubules must be thin, of the right depth and made at the right angle.

The use of Dermapen 4 device guarantees the precision of skin penetration so that the skin can undergo the above mentioned 3 stages of regeneration. The first stage involves secretion of growth factors that accelerate the process of creating new skin cells, stimulate stem cells and fibroblasts. The second stage produces collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. The third stage is to improve skin vascularization and strengthen its structure. Recovery

The natural sensation immediately after the treatment is a slight burning and inflamed skin. The next day the skin may be reddened, tight, and the feeling is comparable to irritation after too much sun exposure. After 3-4 days there may be a slight exfoliation of the epidermis. Both after the treatment and in the following days, preparations are used to control and accelerate skin regeneration. After 5-7 days the first effects of the therapy are visible. The final results can be expected about a month after the last treatment in the series.

Indications after treatment

Approximately 8 hours after treatment, cleanse the skin with a gentle cleanser. This can be a micellar lotion or a product for sensitive skin and apply the recommended skin care. At least one week after the treatment, and preferably throughout the treatment, high sun protection should be used to avoid skin irritation and discoloration. We recommend mineral filters so as not to further irritate the skin and to avoid discoloration due to inflammation. Use the recommended products for home care.

Contraindications

Dermapen 4 treatments are not performed during pregnancy and lactation, in people in the active phase of acne or active phase of herpes. Patients with cancer are also not allowed to undergo the treatment.
