Course of treatment

The duration of this procedure is 20-45 minutes. In addition, on Patient’s request, before the procedure we anesthetize the lips with a preparation in the form of anesthetic ointment. Lip contouring procedure is based on the introduction of hyaluronic acid preparation with an ampoule and a thin needle. The physician usually makes several injections in the lip area in specific anatomical points. Hyaluronic acid used in lip contouring procedure is very plastic, thus it is evenly distributed and after the procedure is not perceptible to the touch. Selection of the appropriate amount of preparation is an individual matter, depends on the anatomy of the face and the desired effect, but usually oscillates within the limits of 0.5-1.0 ml. After inserting the preparation, the physician performs a gentle lip massage to properly distribute the product. Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is used in lip contouring procedures. It is administered with the use of a thin needle. The role of hyaluronic acid is to bind water, which is responsible for maintaining adequate hydration of tissues. Indications before treatment

A few days before the procedure, the Patient should not take aspirin and other anti-inflammatory and anticoagulant drugs.

Recovery

Lip contouring procedure is so minimally invasive that it does not require a period of convalescence. Immediately after the procedure the Patient can return to daily activities. After the procedure in the place of needle puncturing, swelling lumps may appear (they look like a mosquito bite), which may persist 3-4 days after the procedure. You may also experience tenderness lip contour, slight swelling, mild pain and minor bruising. All discomfort usually subsides within a few days. The next day after the procedure the Patient can put on makeup.

Indications after treatment

After the treatment you should avoid solarium, sauna and overheating of the lips, because it can accelerate the decomposition of hyaluronic acid, which will cause the treatment effect to last shorter. In addition, for a few hours after the procedure, the Patient should limit facial expressions and touching and massaging the lips. During the first day after the procedure, hot drinks should not be consumed either.
