Scalp needle mesotherapy

Whether you suffer from excessive hair loss caused by illness or the condition of your hair and scalp has deteriorated due to stress or poor diet, scalp needle mesotherapy can help you solve these problems. But that’s not all – this type of therapy helps to deal with troublesome dandruff as well as excessive greasy scalp. The phenomenon of this treatment lies in the fact that the active ingredients penetrate deep into the skin, which is why mesotherapy brings much better results than cosmetics for external use, the effect of which is too superficial. It is an effective method used in the fight against hair loss, but also an excellent way to nourish, strengthen and revitalize both the scalp and hair, appreciated in aesthetic medicine for years. Technically, scalp needle mesotherapy is not a treatment but a technique of performing the procedure, which involves direct injection into the hairy scalp of active and nutritional substances influencing stimulation of the hair growth process and revitalization of hair follicles. In our Clinic we use only clinically tested substances of renowned brands, which guarantee safety and comfort for Patients.

Indications for treatment

Scalp needle mesotherapy is recommended for all Patients, regardless of gender and age, who have noticed deterioration of hair condition or excessive hair loss and greasiness. Below we present the most common indications for scalp needle mesotherapy:

  • Alopecia areata
  • Androgenetic alopecia

  • Excessive hair loss, telogen alopecia caused by, for example:
    • Hormonal changes during pregnancy and lactation
    • Poor diet
    • Poor circulation

    • Disease

Mesotherapy treatments can also be performed prophylactically. They are especially recommended in autumn and early spring, because they allow excellent regeneration of dry and dull hair, restoring their health and brightness, as well as thickening them by inhibiting the process of hair loss.

Course of treatment

Before the procedure of scalp needle mesotherapy, the physician conducts a detailed interview with the Patient. During the interview the specialist asks about any contraindications to the procedure, concerns, needs and expectations of the Patient.

Then the Patient’s scalp is disinfected. During the procedure the scalp is injected with individually selected preparation and beneficial substances influencing the process of hair and hair follicles regeneration and stimulating new hair growth penetrate the skin. This is due to the fact that the needle pierces through the stratum corneum, reaching the dermis. Punctures are made at intervals of 1-1.5 cm to ensure effectiveness on the selected area of skin or on its entire surface. After the injection, a scalp massage is performed to ensure even distribution of the active ingredients. After the procedure, the natural regenerative and nourishing processes of the scalp begin in the skin, which have a clear effect on hair regeneration and nourishment. In order to achieve the best results it is recommended to perform a series of 4 treatments at intervals of about 2 weeks, and then a follow-up treatment once every three months.

Technology

At the basis of the effectiveness and popularity of scalp needle mesotherapy is the fact that the treatment uses a specially prepared mixture of ingredients selected individually for each Patient. The knowledge and experience of the physicians of our Clinic allows to select and create the right combination of substances that will be most effective to combat the problems of a particular Patient. "Mesococktail" usually consists of 50-56 substances, and most often includes:

  • Vitamins (including B vitamins and biotin, especially important for healthy hair and scalp)
  • Amino acids (substances of which hair is composed, e.g. arginine, cysteine and ornithine)
  • Minerals (essential for the proper functioning of the scalp and hair, e.g. zinc, cobalt, nickel, potassium)
  • Nucleic acids
  • Coenzymes
  • Biomimetic peptides (substances identical to natural growth factors)
  • Platelet rich plasma (obtained from the Patient’s blood and prepared with Arthrex ACP technology)

The ingredients of such a mixture are introduced into the skin through the use of syringes or a special device equipped with micro-needles Dermapen 4. The needles, which puncture the skin at specific intervals, create tubules through which the beneficial substances penetrate deep into the skin. These tubules remain open for only a few minutes and close within an hour. As a result, the epidermis remains virtually intact, which promotes rapid healing.

Needle mesotherapy of the head and its effects

Scalp needle mesotherapy brings quick and noticeable results in excessive hair loss – the Patient notices a minimization of hair loss and, consequently, hair thickening. By revitalizing the hair follicles and stimulating circulation, the treatment promotes new hair growth and prolongs the anagen phase. But that is not all! Hair bulbs are nourished and regenerated, thus the hair grows back stronger, denser and thicker. The moisturized and revitalized scalp better manages excessive greasy and dandruff. Moreover, hair regains its natural shine and beauty.

To achieve and maintain the best results, it is recommended to perform the treatment in regular series. In order for the effects of scalp needle mesotherapy to last as long as possible, it is necessary to take proper care of it after the treatment, as well as between treatments. The physician will advise on how to take care of your scalp and hair, as well as which cosmetics or cosmeceuticals (products designed for home care after professional treatments) to use. Lifestyle and diet are also important for the treatment effects and hair quality. Not smoking cigarettes, avoiding alcohol, practicing regular sports and a balanced diet rich in minerals and vitamins will certainly have a positive impact on the effectiveness of the treatment.
