Hyaluronic Acid Filling

Natural method that provides immediate results

Do you dream of moisturized and elastic skin without wrinkles? Hyaluronic acid is the answer to your problems! One of the biggest advantages of using hyaluronic acid in aesthetic medicine is the fact that it is a substance naturally occurring in the human body, especially in the skin. The composition of hyaluronic acid used in treatments is over 99% identical to that produced by our bodies. It is responsible for binding water molecules and, consequently, provides the skin with hydration, elasticity and resilience. Unfortunately, with the passage of time, the production of hyaluronic acid decreases, wrinkles appear and the skin becomes dry, flabby and gray. The easiest and most effective way to minimize these problems is to correct the deficiency of hyaluronic acid by injecting it directly into the skin. Firming and intense hydration of the skin are not the only advantages of hyaluronic acid! Well, hyaluronic acid is ideal for facial, nose, chin, or cheeks contouring. What’s more, it can be used to naturally fill, enlarge, and highlight the contour of lips. Hyaluronic acid not only moisturizes the skin, but also stimulates the production of collagen, which is the key to a young and radiant appearance.

Indications for treatment

Hyaluronic acid is a versatile and safe substance recommended especially to fight the signs of aging, but also to moisturize the skin. Below are the indications for treatment:

  • Wrinkles, including nasolabial folds, lion’s wrinkle, eye wrinkles etc.
  • Drooping mouth corners
  • Scars, including acne and surgical scars
  • Dry, flabby skin.
  • Dark circles under the eyes
  • Depressed wrinkles appearing on the skin of face, neck, and neckline
  • Sagging oval face
  • Undesirable chin and nose shape
  • Flabby and drooping cheeks
  • Unwanted lip size as well as lip asymmetry and dryness
  • Flabby hand skin

Course of treatment

Hyaluronic acid treatment is always preceded by a consultation with a specialist in order to determine the Patient’s expectations and to select the type of acid (crosslinked or uncrosslinked) and its density. The area to be treated is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. The area to be injected is then anesthetized with anesthetic cream, making the procedure virtually painless and comfortable. The last stage is the injection of acid – the physician introduces it using a needle or cannula. Immediately after the injection of the substance, the process of collagenogenesis is stimulated, and the hyaluronic acid immediately begins to bind water molecules in the skin. Then the physician sometimes performs a gentle massage of the treatment area. The entire procedure takes from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of treated skin area and the number of ampoules of injected acid.

Preparations

The effectiveness of hyaluronic acid treatments is based on the fact that it is a substance naturally occurring in the human body. Aesthetic medicine uses two types of hyaluronic acid: crosslinked or uncrosslinked. Importantly, our Clinic uses only safe, well-studied preparations of hyaluronic acid of renowned brands.

Uncrosslinked hyaluronic acid is used primarily to moisturize, firm and revitalize the skin – mesotherapy. The effects after using this type of acid last from a few days to a month, so it is recommended to repeat the session. It is injected shallowly to improve hydration and luminosity of the skin by stimulating its cells to rebuild. Moreover, uncrosslinked hyaluronic acid can be used as part of anti-wrinkle prophylaxis or to remove other unsightly flaws present on the skin of face, neck, and neckline.

Crosslinked hyaluronic acid has cushioning, hydrating and stabilizing properties and is therefore used as a filler. Its advantage is that the skin metabolizes it slower, and thus it remains in it longer – even up to 24 months. It allows to model the shape of individual parts of the face, fill deep wrinkles and scars, as well as lift eyebrows and eliminate shadows under the eyes. It is also used to fill in the lips in order to moisten the red lips and give them the desired size and shape.

Effects

One of the most important advantages of hyaluronic acid, appreciated by both physicians and Patients, is the fact that after the procedure the face looks very natural, natural facial features are preserved and facial expression does not change. The effect of rejuvenation is noticeable immediately. What is important, the results last from 6 to 24 months.

As for wrinkles, depending on the depth, they are significantly reduced or completely eliminated after treatment as hyaluronic acid eliminates the indentations, firming and making the skin more elastic. For the same reasons, it significantly reduces scarring and improves the overall moisture level of the skin. Patients notice a shallowing or reduction of all types of wrinkles on the face, neck or neckline, a lifting of the mouth corners, and an elimination of dark circles under the eyes.

With the use of hyaluronic acid the Patient can get the desired shape of the face, nose, chin and jawline, and also improve the oval of the face by lifting sunken or flabby cheeks. The skin becomes visibly rejuvenated, radiant and smooth, and the Patient can enjoy the modeled oval of the face, desired shape of the nose, desired line of the jaw and chin, and beautiful, firm cheeks. Depending on the Patient’s expectations, the lips are augmented and filled to achieve the desired shape and volume. Asymmetry is eliminated and the lips are moisturized and smooth. Hand skin, which can become flabby with age, becomes smooth and supple.

Indications before treatment

In order to ensure one hundred percent safety during the procedure, the Patient should not take blood-thinning drugs (e.g. Aspirin, Ibuprofen) at least 7 days before the injection of hyaluronic acid.

Indications after treatment

Although the procedure is completely safe, minor bruising, redness or swelling may occur at the site of acid injection – these symptoms are completely natural and temporary. However, there are certain recommendations that must be followed in order for the effects to be as effective and long-lasting as possible. The Patient should avoid:

  • Sun exposure for 48 hours after treatment
  • Rapid facial expressions for several hours after the procedure
  • Touching the injected areas immediately after treatment
  • Intense physical activity for several days
  • Use of sauna and solarium up to two weeks after the treatment

Recovery

Hyaluronic acid treatment does not require any recovery period and the Patient can return to daily activities immediately after the procedure. Makeup can also be applied as early as the second day after the acid injection.

Contraindications

As mentioned above, hyaluronic acid treatment is recommended for a wide range of Patients. However, as with any other aesthetic medicine procedure, there are certain contraindications:

  • Pregnancy
  • Breastfeeding
  • Infection or inflammation of the skin at the injection site
  • Hypersensitivity or allergy to the preparation ingredients
