V-LASER – a new standard in the treatment of vascular problems

Reduction of vascular and pigmented lesions and skin rejuvenation.

Advanced technology, safety and effectiveness… V Laser is a breakthrough in removing vascular and pigmented lesions and skin regeneration! One laser, one treatment, and so many possibilities!

Finally, there is a device that, thanks to advanced technology, allows for effective and safe treatment of a very wide range of vascular and pigmentation problems, as well as skin rejuvenation – even during a single treatment session.

The uniqueness of this device is also determined by the innovative technologies used to ensure Patient safety and comfort during the procedure. Continuous cooling, precision and selectivity of laser action shortens recovery time and minimizes the risk of complications, and the effects are visible after the first treatment.

Indications for treatment with V Laser

The use of two wavelengths of Long Pulse Nd:YAG laser 1064 nm and KTP 532 nm, the ability to change and adjust parameters such as spot size, energy, pulse width and cooling strength makes the V Laser a versatile device with a large spectrum of effective action and distinguishes it from other lasers available on the market. The use of breakthrough technology in the V Laser makes it effective in treating a wide range of vascular pathology, pigmentation changes and is used in rejuvenation treatments.

Indications for the use of V Laser in the treatment of vascular lesions:

Did you know that…

V Laser is a breakthrough in laser removal of vascular lesions. V Laser achieves great results in the treatment of large dilated capillaries, even up to 4 mm, as well as disseminated spider veins occurring over a large body area, which until now were more likely to be treated with other, more invasive treatment methods, such as sclerotherapy. Thanks to the applied technology and versatility of V Laser treatments in such cases become the basic form of treatment, and not only a complement to other methods.

Indications for the use of V Laser in the treatment of pigmented lesions of the epidermis and dermis:

  • lentigines
  • dyschromia
  • freckles
  • pigmentary changes
  • café au lait changes
  • post-infectious hyperpigmentation
  • poikiloderma
  • warts

Indications for using V Laser in skin revitalizing treatments:

  • loss of skin firmness
  • uneven skin tone
  • dull, tired complexion
  • fine lines
  • enlarged pores
  • slight scars
  • diffuse erythema
  • rosacea

Course of treatment

The duration of treatment depends on the treated area and the extent of lesions. It usually takes from several to 30 minutes. Before starting the treatment it is mandatory to wear protective glasses. First, the treatment area is covered with a special gel that conducts cooling, which ensures greater comfort and safety of the procedure.

The device head, which emits the laser beam, is applied to the skin in the area requiring treatment. The physician has full control over the treatment area, because the device head is finished with a special sapphire glass window, through which you can see exactly the place irradiated by the laser.

The procedure is not very painful and does not require anesthesia. During the procedure, to increase Patient comfort, the physician adjusts the temperature of skin cooling. By adjusting the area covered by the laser beam, it is possible to perform the treatment on a larger area of skin in a shorter time.

After the procedure, the treated area is coated with a special soothing product and the Patient can return to daily activities.

Technology, or how does the V Laser work?

The uniqueness of V Laser in the treatment of vascular, pigmented and revitalizing lesions and its competitive advantage over other laser devices lies in the innovation of applied technologies that significantly affect the effectiveness, efficiency and safety of the treatment.

  • use of 532 nm long-pulse and 1064 long-pulse technologies

The long-pulse laser generates a pulse duration of 1 ms to 40 ms, resulting in a safe, slow and gradual application of thermal energy to the vessel or lesion. The slow application of heat minimizes the risk of petechiae, and therefore minimizes healing time and impact on surrounding tissues. Depending on the type of lesion, the pulse length can be adjusted during the treatment.

  • Selectivity = safety

The selectivity of treatment is that the laser light is absorbed first by the blood in the blood vessel or the pigment in the lesion. It goes exactly where it should, so it does not cause heating of the surrounding tissues, which minimizes the risk of their damage and burns. Thanks to selectivity, the level of treatment safety and Patient comfort is maximized. Selectivity of the laser effect on tissues affects the rate of recovery. The fewer damaged tissues, the faster the skin heals completely.

  • Laser energy stability

As the V Laser generates a stable beam, it is possible to perform the treatment with precision. The laser reaches the exact spot for treatment and the surrounding tissues remain intact.

  • Effective cooling

Patient comfort during the procedure and recovery time is very important, that is why V Laser uses a specialized contact cooling system. The tip of the laser head has a function of 4 degrees of skin cooling (5, 10, 15 and 20 degrees C), so the person performing the treatment can constantly adjust the temperature as needed.

V Laser modes – how they are used in practice

The 532 nm long-pulse mode is used to remove small, shallowly located red vascular lesions, while the 1064 nm long-pulse mode is great for treating deeper blue vascular lesions. The additional Genesis feature of the 1064 nm wavelength mode is designed for rejuvenation treatments that rely on intense thermal stimulation of collagen to shallow wrinkles and revitalize treated skin.

Vascular lesions

In case of vascular lesions, V Laser uses high absorption of the laser beam by hemoglobin, which means that the 532 nm long-pulse wave first strikes the red color – small red surface vascular lesions (telangiectasias, spider veins), and the 1064 nm long-pulse wave strikes the more blue shade, i.e. more deeply located vascular lesions (e.g. reticular veins). The vessel, on which the laser beam is directed, as a consequence of heating undergoes coagulation and irreversible destruction, i.e. photothermolysis. The destroyed vessel is then naturally and gradually absorbed by the body.

Pigmented lesions

When using the V Laser to treat benign pigmented lesions, the combination of two wavelengths proves well for pigmentation located at different depths. The 532 nm wavelength is used for discoloration located shallowly, in the epidermis. Long-pulse wave 1064 removes hyperpigmentation of the dermis. V Laser, thanks to the combination of two wavelengths in one device is successfully used in the treatment of vascularized pigmented lesions, such as in the removal of vascular melasma. The 1064 nm beam is used to break up the lesion located in the deeper skin layers, while the 532 nm beam closes the vessels that supply nutrients to the melasma. By combining these two wavelengths, it is possible to effectively remove melasma and prevent its recurrence.

Rejuvenating treatments

V Laser has a special V-Genesis mode dedicated to revitalizing and rejuvenating the skin. V-Genesis technology involves inducing neocollagenesis, or the production of new collagen, in the dermis through the stimulation of fibroblasts. To intensively stimulate fibroblasts, V Laser uses a 1064 nm wave with a pulse duration of 300 microseconds, which reaches the layers of dermis. There, localized fibroblasts undergo controlled heating and are stimulated to produce collagen.

Effect

After treatments with V Laser for removal of vascular lesions there is a significant reduction in the appearance of erythema, dilated blood vessels, telangiectasia or rosacea. The angiomas are removed, discoloration is reduced, less visible or completely eliminated. The skin is visibly rejuvenated, smoothed and its color is unified. The skin undergoing V-Genesis treatment, stimulated to produce new collagen, is regenerated and visibly rejuvenated. The skin condition is clearly improved. It is again firm, smooth and vital.

Remember…

Some lesion removal treatments provide an immediate effect – directly after the procedure the change is no longer visible. In other cases, the effects are not visible immediately after the procedure, because the healing process, or for example absorption of the vessels can take, for example, 8-12 weeks in the case of telangiectasias, and in the case of facial veins – about 2 weeks.

The treatment result also depends on the size of lesions and personal conditions, i.e. lifestyle, health condition or age. It should also be remembered that the removal of blood vessels is a process and the entire therapy may include a series of treatments spread over time if the changes are extensive. It is equally important to follow post-treatment recommendations.

Preparation for the treatment

The skin of the treatment area should be properly prepared. It should be shaved or depilated (do not use chemical hair removal). No peeling or other exfoliating treatments should be performed on the treatment area 2 weeks before the treatment. At least one month before the treatment the skin should not be exposed to the sun – a fresh tan is a contraindication for the treatment. No alcohol should be consumed on the day of treatment. Additionally, as in case of other laser treatments, 2 weeks before the treatment it is necessary to not use creams with vitamin C, retinol or acids, do not supplement vitamin A, do not use herbs such as nettle, Hypericum, calendula, pansy, field horsetail, chaste, Figura tea.

Recovery

Depending on the procedure, the recovery period and types of side effects that occur vary. The Patient is always informed of any possible effects before the procedure.

Possible side effects include:

  • Immediately after the treatment on the treated area – redness lasting from several hours to several days (in the case of erythema removal)
  • Swelling may occur
  • If vascular lesions on the lower extremities are removed, bruising may occur on the legs
  • Occasionally small scabs will appear which should not be scraped off. The scabs will fall off after 5-7 days

Indications after treatment

After laser treatment the skin is often extremely sensitive and therefore requires appropriate care. It is worth resigning from cosmetics containing alcohol, avoid irritating the skin, avoid UV radiation. We always inform Patients what form of skin care is required after the procedure.
