This thoughtfully designed formula is dedicated to anti-ageing and improving the condition of the skin by reducing the visibility of wrinkles, increasing elasticity and deeply hydrating the skin. The combination of patented ingredients - AstaPure®Arava and TetraSOD® - demonstrates antioxidant activity, protects the skin from UV radiation, smog and blue light, improves collagen synthesis and regulates melanogenesis.
AstaPure®Arava is an extract from the Haematococcus pluvialis algae, obtained through patented ESL technology, which allows all the valuable substances of this plant - minerals, lipids, amino acids, dietary fibre, B vitamins and omega fatty acids - to remain intact. The natural astaxanthin present in Medilâge anti-age is more than 500 times more potent than vitamin E. Studies show that astaxanthin:
- increases by 4 times the protection against UV radiation, which is considered one of the most important causes of skin ageing,
- inhibits cell damage caused by free radicals,
- reduces water loss and improves skin hydration,
- increases skin elasticity,
- reduces the appearance of minor wrinkles.
TetraSOD® is obtained using patent-protected technology, from powdered Tetraselmis chuii algae. It contains fatty acids, vitamins C, E, and B group vitamins, minerals (calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium, chloride, iron, copper), amino acids and natural pigments. Additionally, up to 3 enzymes can be found in it: glutathione peroxidase GPx, catalase CAT and superoxide dismutase SOD, which is the body's first line of defence against oxidative stress and the most potent natural antioxidant. SOD levels decrease with age, contributing to, among other things, an accelerated ageing process. The benefits of TetraSOD® include:
